Our Story

The idea of Smoking Billy’s was first conceived in Darwin over 15 years ago. It is the brain child of Bill Misener, a chef of over 35 years with a passion for food.

It wasn’t until Bill and his family settled in the foothills of Mount Ninderry that a time and a place was born. The Sunny Coast provided a setting for Smoking Billy’s to become a reality. It opened its doors at 4/20 Maple St, Cooroy on 15 March 2022 and expanded to Smoking Billy’s on the Green at Palmwoods in

July 2023. From the start, Smoking Billy’s has been providing locally sourced cuts with real apple wood smoke as a staple ever since. No cheap tricks. Just real food. Real flavour. Just as planned.

Meatlovers come n get it .. AMAzinG slow cooked smoked & seared to fall off the bone 🍗 perfection in a relaxing setting ... Generous owners make their own bbq & tomato sauces & have a humengous shared platter for 2 only $45... Omg 😱

I have eaten at smoking billy’s a couple of times and i’ve never been disappointed. The pulled pork loaded fries were delicious as well as the korean bbq wings. They have an amazing range of smoked meats which are all very tasty. 100% recommend!
